Smugglers are as integral to the Star Wars galaxy as the Jedi Knights and X-Wing pilots are.  After all, it was not Ben Kenobi that made the Kessel Run in twelve parsecs, nor was it Princess Leia that conned her way into ownership of Cloud City.  But take heed as you begin your journey into scum and villainy, newcomer; even the best Smugglers get boarded sometimes.  And when that day comes, you had best be ready.

EiF Patch Notes 12/19/2022

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed certain player races being missing from dresses where they should have otherwise been wearable.
  • Ambrian Staga now have working AI and will no longer ignore any and all attacks.
  • Dual-wielded weapons will now animate correctly.
  • Dual-wielded weapons will now execute attacks using the weapon in the right hand.
  • Cracktooth narglatches can now gallop.
  • A number of tailor craftables can now properly generate sockets.
  • Enabled the /hood command. Players wearing cloaks will now default to hood-down, and can raise (or lower) the hood by using /hood.

Misc

  • The junk dealer strike has ended.
  • Weapon is now properly cleared from a player upon unequip.
  • Cleaned up edge problems caused by worn weapons.
  • Fixed STARTCOMBAT and STOPCOMBAT observers.
  • Instances should now be completable again. It is a known issue that some bosses that should be rooted in place will still move.
  • Kuat pets should have their special attacks available again.
  • The SWGEmu AI update was recently integrated into EiF code. This was a massive undertaking requiring a huge number of changes on EiF to implement the code. Bugs may result – please continue to report issues promptly.

Fixes

  • Airspeeders should now correctly have high-altitude hovering.
  • Fixed broken base alarm appearances.
  • Equipping jackets or armor should no longer cause belts and bandoleers to hoola-hoop.
  • Removed hair appearance from character creation that shouldn’t have been allowed.
  • Fixed Chiss poacher backpack appearance.
  • Added a couple of missing Jedi strings.
  • Login UI now shows “LOGIN” and “EXIT” instead of “EXIT” and “BACK”.
  • Fixed an issue with battle-damaged assault armor chestplates.
  • Fixed a broadcast issue which required leading spaces on sent messages. (Not all such messages have been fixed yet to remove the leading space.)
  • Multipassenger tweak for more stability.
  • Fixed small memory leak.
  • Fixed weapon crate types.
  • Fixed weapon component crate types.
  • Fixed munition crate types.
  • Fixed armor subcomponent crate types.

  • Guilds can now use numbers in their names.
  • Firing a cannon while piloting a walker now puts the pilot in combat.
  • /holster can now be bound. New players (or players who reset their control map) will have it automatically bound.

  • Stability fix for occasional AI crash. (Fingers crossed.)
  • Fixed inability for witches to change face markings after character creation.
  • Added animation to holstering/unholstering. Entering combat with a holstered weapon will not play animations – only using the /holster command will do so.
  • Speeders will now inherit color from their deed when generated.
  • Rotary cannon tweaks.
  • Begun work on special heavy weapon PuPs.
  • Chiss snow armor set added.
