- Droid:<\/b> When in a group, you receive double the experience.\u00a0 In many of the player cities, there are vendors that sell cheap MSE or \u201cgrouper\u201d droids.\u00a0 Pick one up, group with it, and find a mission terminal. Droids or pets won\u2019t split your mission rewards, so you can grind credits and experience to your heart\u2019s content.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
- Armor & Weapons: The gear you start with is good enough to get you on your feet so there is no need to worry about this out of the gate. However as you gain more experience and start taking on more difficult mobs, you may find yourself wanting a little more damage or protection in later stages. While leveling you do not need much so look for armor that has high kinetic and energy resistances.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Additionally, on EiF, you do not need a full suit of armor to gain the benefits of protection.\u00a0 \u201cMini-suits\u201d made up of a helmet, chestplate, boots, and gloves will serve you well and can be found for sale in various player cities by reputable armorsmiths. <\/span>(NOTE: Most of the time mini-suits are packaged together in a container so when searching vendors, make sure you are in the appropriate category)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\nDon\u2019t exactly see what you\u2019re looking for? Now that you’re ready, it’s best to know where to go. There are a couple of different options when leveling up a combat character.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nThere are of course the mission terminals that allow you to take <\/span>six missions at a time<\/b>.\u00a0 Make sure you have the weapon with which you are most skilled in your hand when you look at mission terminals because this will affect the difficulty level (and therefore XP potential) of what appears on the screen.\u00a0 This is a good method for leveling because it also provides the credits you will need to train in your skills and profession.<\/span><\/p>\nAdditionally, there are some very good POI\u2019s that have an abundance of creatures ripe for farming experience.\u00a0 You may not get credits, but XP can come quickly!\u00a0 Two good spots are the Narglatch Cave on Naboo or the Great Herd on Tanaab.\u00a0 These creatures are not too tough and grant decent experience per kill (especially if you have that \u201cgrouper\u201d droid handy).<\/span><\/p>\nCrafting<\/span><\/h5>\nYou\u2019ll start with two basic crafting tools and two survey tools.<\/span><\/p>\n\n- Skills: These are dependent upon the objects you\u2019d like to craft.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n
- Crafting Tools<\/strong>: Depending on the skill you choose, the crafting tools you start out with are enough to get you started. - Crafting Stations<\/strong>: Crafting stations are specific to the crafting skill you\u2019ve chosen. You will need to find the correct one for your skill.<\/span> Crafting stations give you access to higher complexity schematics. In fact, some schematics can\u2019t be made without them. Most NPC cities have public crafting stations available. There are also certain player cities that have public crafting stations, so ask around!\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
(NOTE: The quality of a crafting station has no impact on crafting in EiF. If you are looking to buy one, don\u2019t worry about the quality. Just go for what you can afford.)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n- Practice Mode: When crafting for XP, selecting \u201cPractice Mode\u201d will give you an XP bump and this is the only way to earn extra XP while crafting. Note that if you craft something in Practice Mode, the object is destroyed upon creation which means that while your inventory won\u2019t fill up, you will be left with nothing to sell.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
